This year, the Téthys network and the Hassan II University of Casablanca are introducing the "Discovering the Erasmus+ program" training course, scheduled to take place in French in July 2022 at the Hassan II University in Casablanca, Morocco.

Targeting both researchers and administrative staff from Téthys partner universities, the course provides information on the opportunities of the Erasmus+ program and assist in identifying ambitious projects.

The European Commission has selected two Erasmus+ projects in higher education led by Aix-Marseille University and involving several Téthys partners:

The Tethys network, represented here by Camille de Garidel Thoron, attended the annual seminar organized by IEMED, which is supported by several university master’s programs.

The Tethys General Assembly, hosted at the University of Sousse by its President, Lofti Belkacem, and its Vice-President, Moez Khenissi, gathered 25 Mediterranean universities. Mauve Carbonell, President of the network points out its relevance for Aix-Marseille University. Established in January 2000, Tethys relentlessly promotes cooperation, encourages cultural and scientific exchanges, and enables fruitful partnerships between the two shores of the Mediterranean.

The Consortium of Euro-Mediterranean Universities Téthys is organising its General Assembly on the occasion of the Mediterranean Worlds Forum on 7 and 8 February 2022. In addition to the various workshops and round tables, this year Téthys innovates and gives the floor to students!

The EuNIT project 2nd External Training Session and Final meeting will be hosted by the Université de Saint Jospeh in Beirut on the 3rd and 4th of October.

The event will be an opportunity to raise awareness around european programs and projects in the region, as well as to reflect on the success of the euNIT project.

On the 10th and 11th of July, the Princess Sumaya University for Technology in Jordan hosted the EuNIT Network launch conference and the 1st external training session of the EuNIT project.

The aim of this event was for the staff from Lebanese, Libyan and Jordanian partners, who had participated as trainees in several training sessions on EU programs carried out by the EU project partners, to carry out a training session, as trainers, in Amman for other universities of the region.

From social innovation clusters towards technologically-led innovation clusters in the South Region

The fourth study visit of the +Resilient project was organised by Aix-Marseille University and the LEST (Institute of Labour Economics and Industrial Sociology). The visit took place in Marseille on the 12th and 13th of March. Over 20 representatives from 6 European countries and close to 20 local stakeholders participated in the event.

On January 29th and 30th, a delegation from Aix-Marseille University went to Tunisia to meet its counterparts. She was received by Slim Khalbous, Tunisian Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who had organized a meeting in the presence of the four Presidents of the universities of Greater Tunis.

Yabda partners met from the 2nd to the 4th of July 2018 in Tunis, Tunisia to assess the project progress and organize forthcoming project implementation.

In the framework of the project meeting, hosted by the Yabda partner, Universite Tunis El Manar - UTEM, the Design meeting aiming to approve the Yabda Entrepreneurship model developed, was also held.
