The Tethys network embodies the vision of a Mediterranean united by academic excellence and cooperation. Together, our universities build bridges between cultures and knowledge, offering students and researchers unique opportunities for innovation and mobility. We aim to strengthen our impact by supporting ambitious projects to further the development of our region. Tethys is a key player to address tomorrow's challenges in our region.
TETHYS is a network supported by Aix-Marseille University and currently comprises over 80 universities in 20 countries. It brings together the leading universities in the Maghreb, Mashreq and southern Europe,
enabling them to undertake large-scale networking initiatives with the support of national and European programs.
All this helps to promote an active policy of international cooperation at both European and global level, and gives the university community a clear visibility in the Euro-Mediterranean area.
TETHYS is a place for exchange and sharing, a place of conviviality that we must preserve for a sustainable future in the Mediterranean.
- To build a forum for cultural and scientific exchange, making a strong and lasting contribution to the construction of the Euro-Mediterranean Higher Education, Research and Innovation Area; to
- foster cooperation between Euro-Mediterranean countries through the sharing of knowledge, the harmonization of skills and the exchange of cultures; to
