TETHYS annual conference and governing board in Cyprus, March 2017
The University of Nicosia, Cyprus, hosted on March, the 9th, 2017, the annual Conference and the governing board of TÉTHYS Euro-Mediterranean universities Consortium.
This meeting gathered 35 University Presidents, Vice-Presidents and officials coming from 14 different countries: Algeria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Croatia, Cyprus, Egypt, France, Greece, Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Malta, Morocco and Spain.
The Consortium is pleased to welcome four new members from Bosnia-Herzegovina, Libya and Spain among its members, bringing the total to 85 partners.
This meeting was the opportunity to present the progress made on the different ongoing projects, but also to discuss the new topics to be developed : social, inclusive and sustainable innovation, and marine science particularly.
This year again, the conference was marked by members’ will to strengthen relations that have been established over more than 15 years, and to develop new project within Erasmus+ and H2020 framework. The Consortium also wishes to get involved in the new mechanism developed in the framework of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) and the Mediterranean Cross Border Cooperation (ENI CBC).
