HOMERe is a Euro-Mediterranean societal programme offering companies a platform of services:

  • To recruit young Euro-Mediterranean talents for a long internship abroad
  • To then promote their employment in their country of origin

The objectives of the program are:

  • Strengthen the employability of young graduates from the countries participating in the project
  • Facilitate their access to first quality jobs, through the completion of a 6-month international internship in a company with interests (subsidiary, markets, customers, suppliers, subcontractors, etc.) in the Euro-Mediterranean region
  • Provide students with a well-supervised internship that will allow them to create a professional address book
  • To enable trainees to acquire new skills, assessed at the end of the traineeship through an oral defense in their country of origin
  • Facilitate recruitment processes and the success of recruitment processes for employers in the countries participating in the project
  • Enable companies to identify graduates corresponding to their development needs in the Euro-Mediterranean region
  • Enrich the training of these graduates with a practical internship at the end of their studies corresponding to a real project of the company

The HOMERe mobility pilot project was launched in May 2019 for a period of 18 months and a budget of 2.6 million euros. It is supported by DG HOME of the European Commission and institutionally by the Université de Bretagne Occidentale. It is supported by the French government. It concerns Morocco, Egypt and Tunisia. The completion of 250 internships is expected.
