Gathered at the University of Sousse at the invitation of Lofti Belkacem, its President, and Moez Khenissi, its Vice-President, the Téthys AGM was attended by participants from 25 Mediterranean universities. Mauve Carbonell, President of the network, emphasized the importance of the consortium for Aix-Marseille Université: created in January 2000, it encourages cooperation, promotes cultural and scientific exchanges, and develops partnerships between the two shores of the Mediterranean. An initiative supported by the Institut Français de Tunisie and the French Embassy: Fabrice Rousseau, Director of the Institut Français de Tunisie and Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy in Tunis, and Gilles Suzanne, University Cooperation Attaché, were on hand to open our General Meeting.

Baklouti, Coordinator of the Erasmus + Tunisia National Office, accompanied by teams from the Pôle projets et réseaux stratégiques of the Direction Internationale AMU, were on hand to train nearly 80 participants from Europe, North Africa and the Middle East in Erasmus + project calls. 20 students from the University of Sousse and AMU attended the Entrepreneurship & Sustainable Development Summer School at the University of Sousse.

WE4LEAD Erasmus + project aims to increase women's access to the highest decision-making positions in HEIs. Isabelle Régner (Vice-President in charge of gender equality and anti-discrimination, AMU and project director) and Boutheina Ben Hassine (Professor, University of Sousse) gave a talk on gender equality in academia prior to the project meeting held at the University of Sousse.
