BackgroundThe

role of higher education institutions can contribute to the economic development of their environment and national competitiveness. Universities worldwide have expanded their
mission beyond basic research and teaching to become places where knowledge fuels patent development, business collaborations and incubators for start-ups.

Consequently, the Yabda project will develop a comprehensive ecosystem fostering entrepreneurship and innovation in higher education institutions and beyond. The project will
enhance skill levels and mobilize all university resources, including academic and administrative staff and students, to transform universities into effective start-up platforms
. In addition, the project will act as a "political entrepreneur", disseminating entrepreneurial ideas and skills through interaction with businesses, decision-makers and society.
