, the Mediterranean region (MED) faces disruptive market dynamics driven by demographic change, technology and globalization. In addition, persistent economic difficulties and high unemployment rates persist in the region. This situation calls for innovative and socially responsible approaches to solving these problems. Consequently, the MED area shares a common challenge: the social and economic value of companies and clusters needs to be reinforced. Especially when they operate in the social market and in key sectors. What's more, new economic paradigms and skills are emerging in the Mediterranean regions, opening up new opportunities, such as the functionality economy. The MED regions are at different stages of economic and social development, which can foster social innovation.
The project aims toEnhance
- the capacity of 4-helix players in SVRCs ("clusters with a strong social vocation and high responsiveness") to improve their strategies and provide better services to support and increase growth and employment.
- Capitalize and improve policies, services and methods to foster the competitiveness of SRVCsDevelop
- an open platform with all available resources on social innovation.
- Support SRVCs in the process of consolidating socially responsible economic activities through capacity building, knowledge transfer and co-creation of innovative solutions.
- Upgrading a structural framework for RCVSs
- .Improving competitiveness while having a positive impact on social cohesion and the economy.
- Fostering the creation of a transnational network of RCVSs for the benefit of common solutions capable of promoting flexibility, transfer, mobility and policy improvement in the MED area.
- Acting on the transfer and capitalization of results, tools and methods.
- Promoting RCVSs in key sectors, trade, mobility and transnational enterprises.
