Annual conference - HOMERe High Opportunity in the Mediterranean for the Recruitment of Executives

Michel Autric, President of the Téthys Network, and Anne Skrobot, Director of the Téthys and Mediterranean Cooperation Pole of Aix-Marseille University, participated in the annual HOMERe conference "High Opportunity in the Mediterranean for the Recruitment of Executives" which was held on Friday 21 June in Marseille.

Strengthening cooperation between the University of Alexandria and Aix-Marseille University

A framework cooperation agreement was signed on 17 June 2019 between the University of Alexandria and Aix-Marseille University (AMU) during the visit of a delegation to Egypt led by Renaud Muselier, President of the Région Sud.

Summit of the two shores : Declaration by the Rectors and Presidents of Universities at the initiative of Aix-Marseille University

On the occasion of the "Summit of the two shores" held in Marseille on 24 June 2019, university rectors and presidents from ten countries on the northern and southern shores of the Mediterranean called for "a major youth mobility programme" and "a major post-doctoral programme". They also want to "strengthen the digital equipment and skills" of their universities. These "action proposals" aim to promote the creation of "training, research and innovation ecosystems that irrigate the territories and constitute vectors of development".

EuNIT Project - Organisation of cooperation training sessions

After the Kick Off Meeting held in Marseille on January 2017 and the observation period carried out in the different partner universities in February, the EuNIT project reached a new milestone : the first cooperation training sessions have been held in April and May 2017.

The 24 selected trainers from Jordan, Lebanese and Libyan universities have participated in the training delivered by University of Barcelona, Nice and Santiago de Compostella.

SATELIT Project - 4th Steering Committee

The fourth steering committee of the SATELIT project "Academic Solutions for the Euro-Mediterranean Territory Leader of Innovations and Technological Transfers of Excellence" is organized in Hammamet in Tunisia on February 26 and 27, 2019 by Aix-Marseille University, coordinator of the project, in collaboration with the University of Sfax and the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

RESUME - International “Start Cup” competition in Messina

In the framework of  the RESUME project (RESeaU Méditerranean pour l’Employabilité), coordinated by UNIMED, provides a competition for start-ups. Students from partner universities  had the opportunity to design projects on business creation and will present them during the day of 14 September at the University of Messina where the winner will receive an award.

Students from Spain, France, Italy, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia will present projects on the topics of food, fake news and veterinary medicine.

EuNIT mid-term meeting at La Sapienza University, Rome

On the 16th and 17th of April, all EuNIT partners met at La Sapienza University in Rome for the mid-term meeting of the project.

On this occasion, 41 representatives from all partner universities came together to discuss the progress of the project activities and to decide on next steps.
